Endurance is pioneering a new category of energy by building the world's first modular seafloor geothermal power plants. To succeed, we need a world class communicator to serve as the voice of the company. Reporting directly to the Founder/CEO, you will own our external narrative and shape how the world understands what we're building and why it matters. This is a senior role and an opportunity to craft the public profile of one of America's most promising energy companies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary communications partner to the Founder/CEO, translating technical vision into clear, compelling public messaging

  • Own all external communications

  • Define a new category of energy and explain it to the world

  • Navigate a complex political environment and position Endurance as a bipartisan choice

  • Explain the nuances of environmental impacts to the general public, politicians, and partners

  • Build and manage all media relationships and external media consultants

  • Ensure the CEO and executive team are prepared and trained for all media appearances

  • Draft, edit, and maintain a consistent company voice across all channels and materials

  • Monitor public sentiment and industry discourse and advise leadership on positioning and response

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in communications/PR working directly with founder/CEOs

  • Exceptional writing ability, which you can demonstrate via a portfolio

  • Experience with media training

  • Strong media network

  • A multitude of examples of stories you pitched / placed in high profile outlets

Preferred Backgrounds

  • Communications or PR leadership at a high-growth startup

  • Speechwriters for a CEO, elected official, or public figure

  • Journalism or editorial roles at a major publication

  • Crisis communications agency experience

Compensation

  • $150,000 - $200,000 based on experience and qualifications.
