Senior Electronics Technician | Seattle, WA
Endurance is developing modular seafloor geothermal power plants that harness the vast thermal energy beneath the ocean floor to provide gigawatts of clean, reliable energy. We’re addressing the critical power bottleneck facing AI infrastructure development while creating a path toward energy independence and decarbonization across the globe.
Backed by premier venture capital firms including First Round Capital and Point72 Ventures, our exceptional founding team includes veterans from SpaceX, Robinhood, Helion, and Neuralink, with specialized expertise in complex thermal and fluid systems and business development.
We’re seeking an exceptional senior electronics technician to own and operate our electronics lab and support the buildout of our test systems and subsea hardware. This is not a support role in the traditional sense. You are the force multiplier for our electrical engineering team. You will take designs from concept to reality quickly, cleanly, and reliably.
This is a critical position where your craftsmanship, speed, and judgment directly impact our ability to execute hardware milestones on aggressive timelines.
The Role
As a Senior Electronics Technician at Endurance Energy, you will work alongside electrical and firmware engineers to design, build, debug, and maintain the electrical systems that power our test infrastructure and offshore deployments.
You will be responsible for building high-quality harnesses, assembling and wiring PLC and power cabinets, performing PCBA rework and debugging, and ensuring our lab operates at a professional, high-performance standard.
You are expected to take full ownership of the electronics lab: organization, tooling, standards, and capability expansion. You should have strong opinions on how things should be built and continuously push the team toward higher quality and faster execution.
Key Responsibilities
Build high-reliability wiring harnesses for test systems and subsea deployments
Assemble, wire, and debug PLC cabinets and electrical control panels for test infrastructure
Perform precision soldering, PCBA rework, and board-level debugging
Support bring-up and debugging of electrical systems alongside engineers
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts
Select connectors, wire types, shielding, and routing strategies appropriate for harsh environments
Implement best practices for grounding, EMI mitigation, and signal integrity
Maintain and enforce high standards for harnessing, labeling, documentation, and workmanship
Own the electronics lab: organization, cleanliness, inventory, and tool readiness
Identify gaps in capability and drive procurement of new tools, test equipment, and infrastructure
Support rapid prototyping and test readiness under tight timelines
Document builds, issues, and fixes clearly for engineering and QA traceability
Troubleshoot electrical issues across test systems and deployed hardware
Contribute to safe electrical practices across the lab and test environments
Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician, electrical technician, or similar role
Demonstrated experience building and troubleshooting complex wiring harnesses and electrical systems
Strong soldering skills including fine-pitch work and PCBA rework
Experience assembling and wiring control panels, PLC cabinets, or industrial electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Deep practical understanding of connectors, crimping, shielding, grounding, and cable management
Experience debugging electrical systems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab equipment
Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail in physical builds
Track record of maintaining a clean, organized, and high-functioning lab environment
High ownership mindset and ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, prototype-driven environment where designs evolve rapidly
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with engineers
Preferred Skills
Experience with subsea, marine, aerospace, or other harsh-environment systems
Background as an electrician or experience with high-power electrical systems
Familiarity with industrial controls, sensors, and data acquisition systems
Experience with EMI/EMC best practices and debugging
Ability to perform basic mechanical fabrication to support electrical builds
Experience setting up and scaling electronics lab infrastructure from scratch
Familiarity with standards for labeling, documentation, and traceability in high-reliability systems
Benefits & Perks
Hands-on Experience: Work directly with large-scale, cutting-edge clean energy systems and participate in sea trials
Impact-Driven Work: Contribute to solving one of the world’s most pressing challenges—clean, reliable power generation
Competitive Compensation: Comprehensive salary
