Supply Chain Lead (Hardware) | Seattle, WA

Endurance is developing modular seafloor geothermal power plants that harness the vast thermal energy beneath the ocean floor to provide gigawatts of clean, reliable energy. We’re addressing the critical power bottleneck facing AI infrastructure development while creating a path toward energy independence and decarbonization across the globe.

Backed by premier venture capital firms including First Round Capital and Point72 Ventures, our exceptional founding team includes veterans from SpaceX, Robinhood, Helion, and Neuralink, with specialized expertise in complex thermal and fluid systems and business development.

We’re seeking an exceptional Supply Chain Lead to own procurement, supplier relationships, and build readiness across our hardware programs. This role sits directly on the critical path to deployment—ensuring every part is sourced, tracked, and delivered on time to support aggressive build and test schedules.

This is not a transactional purchasing role. You are responsible for making builds happen.

The Role

As a Supply Chain Lead at Endurance Energy, you will work closely with engineering and integration teams to translate designs into fully sourced, build-ready systems.

You will own supplier selection, purchasing, and planning across mechanical, electrical, and custom-fabricated components. You will track every part on the BOM, identify risks early, and drive actions to ensure builds are never blocked by missing or late hardware.

You are expected to operate with high ownership and urgency: proactively managing vendors, resolving delays, and continuously improving how we source and plan hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own procurement across mechanical, electrical, and custom components

  • Build and manage supplier relationships including machine shops, PCBA contract manufacturers, and component vendors

  • Expand and qualify new suppliers to increase speed, capacity, and redundancy

  • Drive RFQs, pricing negotiations, and lead time reduction across vendors

  • Track full BOM status for upcoming builds and deployments

  • Identify long-lead items and develop mitigation plans early

  • Maintain clear, real-time visibility into part status, risks, and delivery timelines

  • Coordinate closely with engineering and integration teams to ensure build readiness

  • Manage purchase orders, expedite critical components, and resolve supply issues

  • Support make vs buy decisions and vendor selection for new designs

  • Improve procurement and planning processes for speed and reliability

  • Maintain organized documentation across suppliers, quotes, and orders

  • Support inventory strategy for critical components and spares

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or planning for hardware programs

  • Demonstrated experience managing suppliers for machined parts, fabrication, and/or PCBA

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, electronics assembly)

  • Experience owning BOMs and tracking part readiness for builds

  • Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and priorities under tight timelines

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive favorable pricing and lead times

  • High ownership mindset with a bias toward action and problem-solving

  • Ability to operate independently with minimal structure in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Clear communication with both engineers and vendors

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in aerospace, energy, robotics, or other hardware startups

  • Familiarity with low-volume, high-complexity builds and prototype environments

  • Experience working with machine shops, weld/fab vendors, and PCBA contract manufacturers

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand technical requirements

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems or lightweight planning tools

  • Track record of scaling supplier networks and improving supply chain performance

  • Experience managing long-lead, high-risk components

Benefits & Perks

  • Hands-on Experience: Work directly with large-scale, cutting-edge clean energy systems and participate in sea trials

  • Impact-Driven Work: Contribute to solving one of the world’s most pressing challenges—clean, reliable power generation

  • Competitive Compensation: Comprehensive salary

  • Benefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage

  • PTO: unlimited with advanced notice
