Role Overview

We are looking for a Founding Product Manager to own and drive the 0–1 product vision and execution at Oumi. As the first product leader, you will be responsible for shaping our product strategy, translating user feedback into clear roadmaps, and working cross-functionally to bring our open AI platform to market. In addition, you will leverage your deep experience with AI deployments in enterprise environments to ensure our solutions meet the complex requirements of large-scale customers. This is a pivotal role, requiring a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and the ability to navigate complexity in an open-source setting.

What you’ll do:

• Product Strategy & Vision: Define the 0–1 product strategy for Oumi, identifying key opportunities and determining long-term objectives, with particular focus on enterprise AI adoption.

• Roadmap Ownership: Develop and maintain a product roadmap based on community input, user needs, and organizational goals, ensuring alignment with Oumi’s vision of open, collaborative AI.

• Enterprise Customer Focus: Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to understand their specific requirements—such as security, compliance, scalability, and integration—and translate them into product features.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, research, and design teams to build and iterate on features that provide meaningful value to both community contributors and enterprise users.

• Market Validation & Go-to-Market: Oversee product launches, measure outcomes, and refine the product strategy based on user data, feedback, and evolving market trends, ensuring enterprise readiness.

• Open Source Stewardship: Engage with our open-source community, guiding contributions and ensuring the product remains accessible, transparent, and collaborative.

• Operational Excellence: Establish processes to measure success, forecast needs, and optimize product development and release cycles.

What you’ll bring:

• Enterprise AI Expertise: Demonstrated experience driving AI deployments for enterprise customers, with an understanding of the unique needs and constraints of large-scale organizations.

• 0–1 Product Experience: Proven success in taking a product from concept to launch, ideally in a startup or similarly fast-paced environment.

• Technical Acumen: Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, open-source technologies, and modern software development practices; ability to partner effectively with technical teams on complex projects.

• User-Centric Mindset: A proven track record of gathering customer feedback and translating it into product features and improvements, particularly for enterprise use cases.

• Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and prioritization skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions that balance short-term goals with long-term vision.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly articulate product vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Leadership & Ownership: Comfortable leading through influence and collaboration, exhibiting radical ownership and driving results in uncertain environments.
